Raiders of the Damned
Last quiz for Lower Extremity Anatomy today. Then tomorrow I have my final lab exam and on Friday the final lecture exam. Pretty excited that this is almost the end (of the first year), but I'm still a little overwhelmed with all the information and such a short amount of time.

As you can see, I have added a last.fm dealie to my blog so you can see what music I've been listening to whether you want to or not. Sucker! But seriously if any of you have a last.fm account, add me as a friend.

Heroes has its season finale next week and The Office has its this Thursday. Both are sad affairs, but at least they will both be returning next fall. I'm not sure how I feel about the Heroes spin-off they are planning (Heroes: Origins), but I'll give it a chance.

Alright I gotta get warmed up for the quiz. Laters fools.

Listening To: Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - Desperado
Oh Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate.
It may be raining, but there's no rainbow above you.
You better let somebody before it's tooooooooooo late.

Swamp Zombies

My Coffee Coaster, originally uploaded by locusolus.

Hey guys. I'm deep into finals right now, almost done. 10 days and I'll be road tripping it home. Anyway I've been messing around with Flickr lately, since my brother made me sign up for it about 2 1/2 years ago I figured it'd be good to see what's going on on there. It's pretty cool but I don't think I've had enough time to see all the little things about it. I just hooked up my blog to my account, so expect to see cool pictures I come across while browsing.

A Secret Handshake

Don't read this if you are squeamish about blades or blood. It's not terrible, but just a warning.

Guess who got his first scalpel cut today!!! That's right, me. I was switching blades on my scalpel before starting work in lab today and the handle slipped, locked the blade on and went straight through my glove. Luckily it was a really really shallow cut. It was barely bleeding at all. Our blades come from my lab partner's dad's office, so they are high quality blades. The blade is so sharp that I didn't even feel it go into my finger. Pretty weird, but that's a good thing I guess. Anyway I'm sure by the time that I'm a surgeon, the self-stabbing will be down to a minimum.

After it started bleeding, I immediately went over to the sinks and washed it with soap profusely. Someone went and told a TA that I had cut myself and she brought over some band-aids. While I was waiting, one of my classmates asked me what I was doing and I said I was bleeding and he just goes "Oh, okay" and walks away. Doesn't ask if I'm getting any help or something, just goes and talks to some people at a different table. Great friend, this guy. He's looking for a roommate in the dorms next year and I'm afraid they are going to place him with me since my roommate is moving out. I really hope not.

Anyway the TA came around and put the band-aid on. Initially I was only bleeding at the base of my finger and she put it on that cut. I guess she put it on a little bit too tight though because a couple minutes later a new cut had opened up on the upper portion of my finger. Luckily she had given me another band-aid just in case, so I put that one on myself. It's not easy to put a band-aid on with one hand!

Oh, just remembered. Here's the weird things I was thinking when I woke up in April, 2007:

April 2, 2007 - "I want the !"
April 3, 2007 - "You have the ahhh we got the ayyyyyyyyy"
April 4, 2007 - "I summon Dr. Benjamin Franklin."
April 10, 2007 - "Internal carotid artery."
April 14, 2007 - "Sam Spade is FULL."
April 16, 2007 - "We got the chocolate. Yep, that's right."
April 17, 2007 - "I like to...shoot things?"
April 21, 2007 - "You're familiar with the What If series?"
April 23, 2007 - "The lowest level of high definition."
April 24, 2007 - "Where's the agglutination center?"
April 26, 2007 - "Do they know they have restaurants worldwide?"
April 27, 2007 - "Got a bone..."
April 30, 2007 - "Man, I talked to everyone I came in contact with today."

Sometimes I think she's almost as mean as me.
