The Last House on the Left

So I guess during the Halloween season, the folks over at the Oakland International Airport don't have a whole lot of compassion for the passengers that are a little more weary about flying. Personally, I have no fear. At all. Of anything. I think, however, if I were afraid of flying, seeing Freddy Krueger plastered all over the check-in desk at Gate 24, the very first thing you see when you get off the escalator after security, I don't think my nerves about flying would be calmed at all. Nightmare on Elm Street is pretty much the first horror movie I ever saw. Actually I didn't see much of it: I was hiding behind the couch for a good 95% of the movie. Come on, I was 16 at the time (just kidding, 8). Anyway my point is Halloween is fun, but if people passing out or having heart attacks at the gate is the kind of thing that is bad for your business, you should probably ditch the idea of coating the little podium where they collect the boarding passes with fake blood.

But seriously, how awesome is that Freddy Krueger thing? Sure, it might be the wrong place to have it, but I think it's still pretty bad ass.

If only I hadn't recently titled an entry a Nightmare on Elm Street movie. It would've been totally appropriate here.

Also, in the airport, there was this security guy with the voice of Mr. T. and the looks of Dave Chappelle telling everyone what kinds of liquids can be brought and what can't and what kinds of bags they had to be in. The funny thing was he had written a whole rap about it and was just constantly rapping it and every sentence ended with "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....". When people would come up and ask him specific questions, he'd just do the rap all over again. I mean, he had all the information he needed in it, so it seemed ridiculous but was actually pretty succinct.
